Why Mt. Shasta
Rising majestically above the forests of Northern California, Mount Shasta has long been regarded as one of the most spiritually significant places on Earth. It is often described as one of the “Seven Sacred or Holy Mountains” recognized in various spiritual traditions.
Many visitors report experiencing a profound sense of peace, inspiration, clarity, and connection while in the presence of the mountain. Its pristine alpine environment, crystal-clear waters, ancient forests, and powerful natural beauty create an atmosphere that encourages reflection, healing, and spiritual awakening.
Mount Shasta has also become closely associated with the modern “I AM” spiritual movement. According to the teachings of the movement, in 1930 a mining engineer named Guy Ballard encountered the Ascended Master Saint Germain on the slopes of Mount Shasta. Ballard later recounted that Saint Germain revealed spiritual teachings concerning the divine presence within every individual—the “I AM Presence”—and emphasized the importance of freedom, purification, self-mastery, and spiritual evolution.
These encounters became the foundation for a spiritual movement known as the “I AM Activity,” which spread throughout the United States during the 1930s. Ballard published a series of books beginning with Unveiled Mysteries, sharing his experiences and the teachings he received. Within these teachings, Saint Germain was presented as a spiritual advocate for freedom and the expansion of higher consciousness.
Followers of the movement believe that Saint Germain continues to maintain a spiritual presence around Mount Shasta and that the mountain serves as a focal point for transformative spiritual energy.
For many, Mount Shasta is more than a mountain. It is a living sanctuary, a place where heaven and earth seem to meet. The grounding presence is inviting all who visit to walk a path toward greater freedom, love, and spiritual awakening. Considered to be the root chakra of the world it will bring deep shadow & root work for ones self & the whole collective.
